Pet food in-gathering at Ascension

TWIN FALLS — During September, Ascension Episcopal Church will collect pet food to be donated to the Twin Falls Animal Shelter. Collection baskets for pet food are in the gathering area of the church. Debbie Blackwood, from the Twin Falls Animal Shelter, will speak at Ascension Café on Sunday.

A morning prayer worship service will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, with a fellowship coffee hour held after the service. Childcare for children ages 7 and younger are available from 8:45 a.m. until after the worship service. Older children are welcome to participate with their parents in worship. Following the worship service, adults are invited to participate in Ascension Café, where information about the pet food in-gathering will be presented, as well as continuing a multi-session discussion about the Lord’s Prayer.

Knit-Us-Together, the handwork group, meets from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays to working on prayer shawls, baby blankets, hats or on individual handwork projects.

Buhl church welcomes visiting pastor

BUHL — The Buhl Methodist Church, 908 Maple St., will have Sunday School at 10 a.m. followed by 11:30 a.m. service. The Rev. Margie Davis will be the visiting pastor. All are welcome to worship and join us for Happy Hour as we celebrate with open doors, open hearts and open minds.

Classes teach ‘How We Love’

BUHL — Buhl Calvary Assembly of God, 110 Fruitland Ave., invites people to attend its new eight-week class “How We Love.” The class is based on a book by Milan and Kay Yerkovich. It’s about how we give and receive love from others. This class is for married couples, engaged couples, single people and teenagers. The class will start at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
