TWIN FALLS • H.W. (Spec) Reynolds, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at his residence in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., at the age of 91.
He was born March 18, 1921, in Columbus, Neb., to Robert R. and Lola M. Reynolds, the first of five children. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943. As a decorated soldier, he proudly served in the Pacific Campaign and the Korean Conflict. A longtime resident of Twin Falls, he worked 22 years for Teamsters Union Local 483 out of Twin Falls and Boise, Idaho. He also served as an officer on the board of Western Conference of Teamsters. After retiring, he moved from Boise to Lake Havasu. Spec was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Una; his daughter Jane Newhall and her husband, John; two granddaughters, Tina Tallerico and Tricia (Sonny) Martinez; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the Twin Falls Cemetery, with the Rev. Roger Sedlmeyer of Immanuel Lutheran officiating. Military honors will be provided by Idaho Honor Guard and the Magic Valley Honor Guard. Services are under the direction of Lance Cox and the staff at White Mortuary “Chapel by the Park.” Rest in peace, Daddy. Semper Fi!!!
