TWIN FALLS — Local entertainer Danny Marona is planning “A Mid-Summer Nights Roast” of retiring Twin Falls School District superintendent Wiley Dobbs.

The event is 6 p.m. July 14 at Canyon Crest Dining & Events Center in Twin Falls.

Proceeds will go to the Danny Marona Performing Arts Scholarship Foundation, a nonprofit organization. It has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to high school and college students over the last decade.

Tickets are $75 each, which include dinner and entertainment, or $500 for a table of eight.

The six roasters include Jeff Rolig, Tony Mannen, Brady Dickinson, Patti O’Dell and John Miller.

Other entertainment will include performances by two of the top winners from the Danny Marona Performing Arts Scholarship competition and the College of Southern Idaho’s jazz band.
