Peter Bratt’s story of Dolores Huerta — co-founder of the first farm-workers union with Cesar Chavez — features one of the most important, yet least-known, activists in American history. Huerta tirelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the 20th century.
Indie Lens Pop-up is a free nation-wide documentary film series featuring screenings of films from the Emmy award-winning PBS television series “Independent Lens.” Sponsored by the Independent Television Service, the Idaho Humanities Council and the Magic Valley Arts Council, the films explore timely subject matter and allow viewers to engage in post-screening moderated dialog.
