Wood River Valley resident celebrities Steve Miller and Bruce Willis will team up for a Castle Rock Firefighters Benefit Concert on SEPT. 29, the centerpiece of a "Kick Ash Bash" weekend of music and festivities. Jerome will hold a Centennial Celebration on SEPT. 29 with live entertainment by an author; an Oregon Trail artist; country, bluegrass and country gospel musicians; and the Jerome High School band. Live pioneering demonstrations will include rug hooking, spinning, churning butter and quilting. Exhibits and food will be available, including a pancake breakfast. Pioneer games will feature a cake walk, kick the can and pony rides, and horse-drawn wagon rides down Main Street will feature Jerome history.
