Look up:The 19th annual Christmas in the Nighttime Sky festivities will light up the sky Nov. 27 at Kimberly Nurseries, 2862 Addison Ave. E. in Twin Falls.

The public is invited to a free chili and Idaho potato dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m., along with visiting with Santa; a live Nativity scene; and entertainment by The Lighthouse Praise Band. The fireworks display will start about 7:30 p.m. and is choreographed with Christmas music on KOOL 96.5 FM and 95.7 KEZJ FM.

Parking is available at the Kmart and Grocery Outlet parking lots, with free shuttle buses running from 5 to 7 p.m.

Addison Avenue East will be closed from Eastland Drive to Hankins Road, starting at 5 p.m. Nov. 27, according to the Twin Falls Police Department. The intersection of Carriage Lane and Addison also will be closed. The roads will remain closed until pedestrian traffic has cleared.

Organizers say the event is a family tradition to enjoy the day after Thanksgiving as a way to “Let the Christmas Spirit Begin,” as its theme urges. Visitors should dress warmly for the evening’s weather.

Admission is one new, quality, unwrapped toy (one per family), for infant to age 16. Proceeds benefit needy Magic Valley children through KMVT’s Christmas for Kids program.
