BOISE — The Small Business Administration Idaho hopes to open an official solicitation process for a Women’s Business Center, using SBA grants. The WBC will seek to “level the playing field” for women entrepreneurs who still face unique obstacles in the business world.
“Our office is searching for an organization to host a Women’s Business Center. The WBC will guide aspiring and existing women’s businesses and will be a place for women to find the encouragement and resources to make their dreams come true,” SBA Boise District Director Gary Eisenbraun said in a statement.
The SBA works with a number of local partners to counsel, mentor and train small businesses. Women’s Business Centers represent a national network of more than 100 educational centers that are designed to assist women — especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged — in starting and growing small businesses.
SBA Boise District staff provide resources and services in counseling, capital and contracting.
