SEATTLE — Washington Federal has promoted Bret Belnap to Eastern Idaho division manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing all branch activity within the company’s south-central and eastern Idaho footprint including Twin Falls, Ketchum, Hailey, Jerome and Gooding.
“Bret’s experience ranges from retail mortgage production to business banking. He is also an active participant in several community service organizations. We are confident his skills and knowledge will help fulfill our mission of driving economic growth and prosperity in the communities we serve,” Tom Van Hemelryck, Washington Federal’s Idaho regional president, said in a statement.
Most recently, Belnap served as the branch manager of Washington Federal’s Twin Falls, Jerome and Gooding locations. He has distinguished himself there with consumer service and loan production. Belnap's previous experience includes working at Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
Belnap is a native Idahoan, attending Snake River High School in Blackfoot and Ricks College in Rexburg. He is involved in Business Plus and the Twin Falls, Jerome and Gooding Chambers of Commerce. Other volunteer associations include Snake River Boy Scouts of America where he serves as council commissioner and Junior Achievement of Idaho where he is a board member.
“I am excited about this opportunity and believe that Washington Federal is well positioned in south-central and eastern Idaho to help business owners and homeowners achieve their goals,” Belnap said in a statement.
