BOISE — The U.S. Small Business Administration announces the availability of a new grant opportunity for aspiring Women’s Business Center host organizations to provide outcome-oriented business services for women entrepreneurs.
The WBC Initial Phase Grant will provide $75,000 to establish a community-based Women's Business Center in the Boise District.
“Our office has been listening to local leaders, business owners and partners; we’ve heard loud and clear the need for a Women’s Business Center in Idaho,” SBA Boise District Director Gary Eisenbraun said in a statement. “We welcome this funding opportunity to better serve women entrepreneuers in our state and local communities.”
Eligible applicants must be private nonprofit organizations with 501(c) tax-exempt status from the U.S. Treasury/Internal Revenue Service and must provide services to the population within the specified area. More information: www.grants.gov/web/grants/search-grants.html?keywords=owbo.

- Go to www.grants.gov.
- Click on the "Applicants" tab.
- Click on "Apply for Grants."
- Follow the "Search" tab and type in "OWBO" in the keyword block.
- Select "OWBO-2017-01-1."
- Click on the "Package" tab, and then click on "Apply" to fill out the application forms.
Applications must be submitted via this website no later than 9:59 p.m. Feb. 12. Applications submitted via other channels, including the SBA website, will be rejected and will not be evaluated.
