TWIN FALLS — Land owners are seeking to annex some pastureland near the canyon rim into the city, with plans for a mixed-use development.
Robert Shillington and John Lezamiz with Notch Butte Farms are requesting the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend residential and commercial zoning for about 29 acres on the north side of Pole Line Road East. The property is immediately adjacent to the Bridgeview Estates and Sportsman’s Warehouse, and surrounds the YMCA facility.
Planning and Zoning commissioners will receive a preliminary presentation during their meeting Tuesday.
“It’s a nice property,” Lezamiz said. “I think it’s gonna be an asset to Twin Falls.”
Their plans for the Rio Vista development include stores along Pole Line Road, a restaurant and hotel along the canyon rim, gated-access residential lots, townhouses and condominiums.
Dave Thibault with EHM Engineers will give the presentation. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Council Chambers, 305 Third Ave. E.
The commission will make its recommendation for the requested zoning changes after a public hearing on Aug. 9.
