TWIN FALLS — Events began Monday for Eyemart Express’ grand opening in Twin Falls.

The public is invited to a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the new eyeglass retailer, 1605 Blue Lakes Blvd. N. Festivities will include a 95.7 FM remote broadcast; prizes from the Wheel of #FrameandFortune; and a giveaway where the first 25 families at the event will receive a voucher for one free pair of glasses.

The Twin Falls Eyemart Express store opened on Nov. 13 between Target and Winco. Its hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Eyewear brands available at Eyemart Express include: Gucci, Fendi, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Ray-Ban. In addition to the product selection at a variety of price points, the eyewear retailer offers production of glasses for consumers in as little as 30 minutes turnaround time, with 90 percent of glasses delivered on the same day.

“We are excited to offer Twin Falls residents a time-saving optical solution with our same-day glasses,” Michael Bender, Eyemart Express chief executive officer and president, said in a statement. “Our customers leave with high-quality glasses and still have time to spend with their families by shopping with us.”

The store opening brings the eyewear retailer’s educator program to Twin Falls, which provides a 20 percent discount for those who work in education such as teachers, coaches and bus drivers.

“We recognize educators are charged with the important job of teaching and empowering our future generations,” Paula Blomquist, Eyemart Express chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “Our educator program allows us to show our appreciation for their hard work.”
