TWIN FALLS — Event professionals from around the U.S. have arrived in Twin Falls this week to learn from some Magic Valley businesses.
Sid and Paige Vanderpool, owners of MME Music Magic Events, are hosting the national Event Professionals Think Tank at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. On Monday, conference-goers heard from businesses in Sun Valley and Burley and took a tour of MME Music Magic Events. About 15 people were registered for the invite-only event, Sid Vanderpool said.
“It’s a group of people who are taking their business to the next level,” he said.
The “think tank” is the Allen & Co conference of event professionals, he said. Three days of workshops, seminars, networking and idea-sharing help professionals think outside the box.
“None of these people have ever even been to Idaho,” Vanderpool said.
Previous venues for the Event Professionals Think Tank were in Boston and Chicago.
“You can’t just join EPTT,” event mogul George Whitehouse said in a statement. “You have to be on our radar as a top-shelf wedding or event company owner in both the customer service you provide and the what you offer your area. Then we invite you into our exclusive group. Sid met and exceeded the bar we set and we are excited to come to Twin Falls to see his world-class operation.”
The Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Idaho Small Businesses Development Center assisted Vanderpool with the event schedule. The evenings will include tours around the Magic Valley, concluding with a dinner cruise Wednesday on the Snake River.
