TWIN FALLS — The Chobani Foundation has donated $5,000 in cash and $5,000 in yogurt products to the Salvation Army of Twin Falls.

The donations were raised as part of the company’s annual Family Day celebration. The funds will help the Salvation Army’s afterschool program and healthy snack program.

“Many families find it very difficult to stay afloat. We see that first-hand in the numbers of people coming to us for assistance,” said Lt. Troy Cook, commanding officer of The Salvation Army. “It’s challenging when parents are struggling to pay rent and don’t have options for their children after school. That’s why The Salvation Army provides this free after-school program to meet the need in the community.”

Homework Club is a free afterschool program serving more than 50 children each school year.
