TWIN FALLS — This weekend, Chobani yogurt made in Twin Falls was distributed to flooding victims in Louisiana.

The Chobani Foundation participated in the Sam’s Club Disaster Relief Parking Lot event to aid victims of the recent flooding.

“Staying true to our philosophy of giving back — and hoping to assist those whose lives have been severely impacted by the recent flooding in Louisiana — The Chobani Foundation is sending several employees to the Denham Springs, Louisiana, Sam’s Club Center this weekend, where flood victims are gathering for a distribution of food and supplies,” Chobani spokesman Jeff Genung said in a statement.

“We’ll distribute more than 6,000 cases of Chobani Greek Yogurt to those facing hardship — a small act of kindness as the area looks to rebuild and recover,” he said.

A company spokeswoman said most of the products were produced in Twin Falls, including Chobani Flips, Fruit on the Bottom and Blended Greek Yogurt, and Drink Chobani. The yogurt is being sourced from a southern distribution center warehouse.
