TWIN FALLS — Denise Childs has been hired as director of facility-based services at Magic Valley Rehabilitation Services Inc. Yarit Rodriguez and LaVon Dodds have also been hired as employment services specialists.
Childs moved to Idaho from Kodiak, Alaska, where she was a counselor and an administrator for a residential program. She first served as director of rehab services at MVRS before helping to start Bluefire Wilderness Therapy in Gooding.
“This is like coming back home and rejoining my family,” Childs said in a statement.
Rodriguez will be seeking employment opportunities for MVRS participants and serving as a job coach for others already employed. Dodds will also be a job coach, as well as providing administrative office support.
MVRS provides a variety of programs and services to empower individuals to achieve maximum participation in employment and community life. It has been providing these services in southern Idaho since 1973.
