TWIN FALLS — The Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will have five seats on the board of directors up for election this year, with terms beginning Feb. 1.

Four of these seats are three-year terms; one is a partial term that expires in 2019. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Jan. 16. Self-nomination is allowed.

Any employee of a chamber-member business in good standing — meaning the member is current on its annual dues payment and has no other outstanding payments due — is eligible to run for election to the board. Directors serve a three-year term and are responsible for the supervision of the chamber, the chamber’s property, the organization’s finances, the direction of its work and its policy-making. The board meets monthly; directors also attend chamber functions and committee meetings as needed.

A business-member company may not have more than one person representing their company on the board. Ongoing board members represent the following companies: Cooper Norman; Reeder Flying Service; Fairfield Inn and Suites; Nu Vu Glass; St. Luke’s Magic Valley and Jerome; Desert Sun Travel; Idaho Power Co.; KMVT/FOX14/THE CW; and Independent Meat Co. No additional nominees from these companies will be eligible to run in 2018.
