College of Southern Idaho basketball team celebrates its NJCAA championship

The CSI mens basketball team defeated Midland (Texas) 72-64 Saturday March 19, 2011 to win the NJCAA Tournament.

Stephen Meyers

Stephen Meyers has covered local sports in the Magic Valley since joining the Times-News sports staff in August 2010.

A native of Montrose, Colorado, Stephen graduated from Colorado State University in 2010 with a degree in Journalism and Technical Communication. While at CSU, Stephen covered everything from football, basketball and volleyball to track and field and water polo.

Since taking his talents to south Idaho in 2006, Ryan Howe has become extremely popular with Times-News readers, captivating them through his writing, photography and graphic design.

Howe's professional newspaper career began in 1997 and saw stints at the Standard-Examiner in Ogden, Utah, and the Salt Lake Tribune. Since then, he has served as an editor, writer and photographer for a handful of newspapers, magazines and websites.

Howe earned his journalism degree from Weber State University. He lives in Declo with his wife, daughter and maltipoo.
