REQUEST FOR BIDS Elko County Solid Waste Refuse Hauling and Disposal for The Salt Lake Basin and Salmon Falls Sanitation Districts Elko County is requesting bids for the hauling and disposal of Solid Waste Refuse for the Salt Lake Basin and Salmon Falls Sanitation Districts. The Salt Lake Basin Sanitation District consists of the unincorporated towns of Montello and Pilot Valley, both of which have a solid waste bin facility located near the town. The Salmon Falls Sanitation District consists of the unincorporated town of Jackpot, which has the Jackpot Solid Waste Transfer Station, and the unincorporated town of Jarbidge, which has a solid waste bin facility located near the town. This request for bids is for service of both districts with a four (4) year contract along with a four (4) year renewal option. However, the Elko County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to award each district separately, based on the best proposal for service for that district. Any business, company or contractor must be properly licensed in the State of Nevada for this activity and qualified to submit a bid in writing, as per the instructions. Sealed bids shall be submitted no later than December 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. (Pacific Time) at the Elko County Community Development office located at 155 South 9th Street, Elko, NV 89801.
