St. Luke’s Jerome is offering “Baby and Me” classes, 11 a.m. to noon Tuesdays at Jerome Public Library, 100 First Ave. E.

This week’s topic: exercise. The session is educational support for parents and babies. A lactation consultant and a baby scale are available each week.

College of Southern Idaho’s Community Education Center is offering a noncredit course, “Mindfulness,” 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays, this week to Sept. 26, at the CSI campus. Curtis Johnson instructs.

Mindfulness focuses awareness on the current moment in a nonjudgmental and accepting way, and the technique can reduce stress, depression and general anxiety.

Blood Drive

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the LDS Church, 50 S. 100 E., Jerome.

Any healthy person age 17 or above (16 with signed parental consent) and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. Valid identification is required.
